When faced with an appallingly dirty toilet, or no toilet at all, us ladies feel like were at a physical disadvantage. However, it is possible for us women to urinate standing up if we're willing to invest in a little self-potty-training. To urinate while standing up, try the Easy Peezy and follow these methods for the best results.

Preparation​​

• Stay Sanitary. If you know you'll be somewhere the bathrooms are disgusting or non-existent, keep a few items on hand to help yourself stay clean.

  • Hand Sanitizer. Before you pee standing up, it's essential that you wash your hands. You're going to be touching your genital area and you don't want germs from your hands to cause a urinary tract infection. Because women have short urethras, it's easy for germs to move up their bladders.[3] If soap and water aren't available, use hand sanitizer to protect yourself.

  • Wet Wipes. Have a travel-size pack of sanitary wipes with you to clean your hands when you're done. For some standing-up styles of urinating, your fingers will get wet.

• Be sure the coast is clear. You may need to urinate standing up because you're out camping/hiking or because the women's room is far too crowded and the men's room was available. Before you begin, make sure you have privacy. If you're interrupted mid-stream, things could get messy, and there may be some degree of embarrassment for you, your intruder, or both.

Give it a go!

• Time to use your Easy Peezy Lady Funnel. 

• Wash your hands.

• Move your clothing out of the way. It should be enough to undo your pants and pull down the front of your underpants or push them to one side.  You may have to slightly pull down your pants depending on how hight they are.

• Place the Eazy Peezy Funnel in place, between your legs and directly beneath your urethra.

• Stretch your thumb and middle finger to hold the device from front to back. See the Illustration.

• Place it securely against your body taking care to maintain the seal on the back. Direct the outlet pipe away from the body and out of the pants by tilting your pelvis forward slightly as this will allow you to urinate more effectively into the funnel.

• Aim your funnel spout at your intended target.  You can do this by using a third finger to make a triangle to stabilize the pee stream. 

• Relax and pee!

• When you're done, pull the device away with the spout pointed up slightly to ensure you don't drip onto yourself or clothing.

• If you have access to a sink, rinse it.  If you have toilet paper or wipes, use them to wipe down the funnel. If you don't have anything to rinse or wipe the funnel with, shake it a few times to get the large drops out.

Tips for Best Results:

• Prior to setting out, pack the funnel bag with hand sanitizer and wipes.  This will ensure you are prepared when nature calls.

• Practice in the shower at home first to find the right position for you. 

• Pay close attention to the proper way to hold it, see illustration.

• Press funnel firmly against your body.

• Always double-check that your clothes are not in the way.

• Don't forget to ALWAYS pee downwind!

• When done peeing, give the funnel a lady-shake keeping the funnel firmly pressed against you.

• Slowly remove the funnel in a forward direction with the spout pointing up slightly
